Update and a Finish!

Just thought I'd show you how my string quilt is going! Just need to quilt and bind it, but I am already thinking about the next string quilt project..... Addictive little blocks they are!

And I have a finish.... this is my Village Table Runner that I've been working on for a little while. I love the look of the little houses (all in Amy Butler fabrics) surrounded in the nighttime snowfall! You can find the tutorial for this table-runner here. It's a great way to showcase your favourite fabric range. Mine is very long, but you can make it any length you wish.

On the decorating front, I can show you my little purchases from the prim shop up on Tamborine Mtn. This is my little prim corner of the house:

On top of the candle/burner is a cookie melt... it smells absolutely delicious.. so nice I've decided to spare it from melting!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Teresa xx

Love your string quilt-I'm inspired and have started pressing all those left over strips from other projects. It has obviously got the tick of approval from the cat.
The table runner is also great and a superb way to display fabrics.

He he, I knew the cats would love it!! the table runner is nice. Wish I could make things like that. I suppose I would do more of it if I had a sewing machine. It's quite annoying doing everything by hand, which is why I make lottle things alot.
Love n Hugs! xox
Oh, and what makes me happy? Lizards of course! lol I still have 10 eggs, and they're going quite well. I thought I'd lost 2 but turns out only one. so that's good! Another 4 weeks to go...

Love your string quilt, Teresa. I am in the process of cutting a gazillion strips and will probably get started tomorrow.

Did you use paper or fabric as your stabilizer? I'm torn between the two of them.

Your table runner looks awesome as well. Great job!

Your strip quilt turned out just lovely. And the little houses runner is sweet. I love the colors contrasted with the black and white. So cute.

The string quilt finished, I thought you just had started ;-). It is nice, will it be the cats quilt?
I am not a table runner person, but I love the houses in the night idea! That is a finish already and the year has just begun.

Love your string quilt Teresa and the fact that you just picked strips randomly. Way to go. I cut all my decent size scraps into strips ready to do the same.

Oh my goodness but that runner really caught me up! I thought I was completely taken with the String quilt because kitty is there to be on display and everything goes better with our cats, don't you think? Plus, I've yet to make a string block but then, dear me, the runner with the AB fabrics. I don't have any AB fabrics but I spy them all the time. It's so hard being me. You know, so fabric deprived and all. Facetiously yours, *karendianne.
