Sunday Stitchers Christmas Party

I had a lovely day today celebrating with this wonderful group of ladies.
There were lots of presents to swap....
Lots of lovely gifts (very spoilt!)
And lots of yummy Christmas food....
It was a fabulous day.
De and I with our gorgeous Christmas presents. We both scored French fabric bags and we love them. Mine was made by Noela and De's is made by Inca. Lucky us!!!!
Birthday girls opening their fat quarter presents are Noela and Helen.
Sandi gave us all a cutlery wrap and it was made even more special with our names engraved on the cutlery.
I christened mine today and I just love it. Very special!!!
A close up of my Christmas present bag. There were more gifts including cute wooden buttons, French post it notes and some really gorgeous French magnets that Noela bought years ago in Melbourne in the hope that she would get me as a swap partner one day. I love it all and I'm one very lucky girl!!!
A huge "thank you" to Maree for another fantastic year, for all the hard work and behind-the-scenes organizing she does for us.
The Tuesday girls having a group photo like we did last Christmas. So much fun today and so much laughing. It was great!
I also received this lovely gift from Shez today. She makes the loveliest towels and this has a really cute Christmas embroidery on it. This was a surprise!
My little gift to the girls today were these pincushions made from glass preserving jars. One of my fave fabric ranges "Pure".
Thanks for a fabulous day!!! I love these days together with the Sunday Stitchers!

PS Proof I actually stitched today too!
Thanks Maree for the photo. I worked on my Marg Sampson George quilt, joining the blocks with background hexies.

Kuta and Seminyak

Today we travelled to Kuta to Waterbom - third best water park in the world. We had soooo much fun!
In the evening we caught a taxi into Seminyak and went to a restaurant we've been wanting to try since we arrived in Bali - Potato Head Beach Club. We had the best dinner and dessert this holiday. The food and service and setting was unbelievable.
Last sunset before flying home tomorrow. It's going to be hard to say goodbye!

Finally a day of relaxing and taking a breath! Although we did have a game of tennis in the hottest part of the day! But that just made the trip to the pool even better.
Today started with a walk along the beach, a bit of shopping, a pedicure, and back to the resort for a drink and some lamb koftas.
After tennis we had cocktails at the swim up bar and lounged by the pool.
In the evening we took another trip to the beach to watch the gorgeous sunset and the amazing surfers.
We had dinner at the second top restaurant in Legian and it was delicious.  Total cost for entrée, dinner and drinks was $13!
Looking forward to another day in paradise!

Sunday, Leaving Ubud

Two of the lovely staff, Arga and Kadeg, walked us to their homes and villages today. These are experiences I'll never forget. They are treating us like royalty here and we are thoroughly enjoying every second. This afternoon we head off to Legian but it will be hard to say goodbye to the owners and staff here in Ubud.

On our way to Legian, our lovely driver from Amora Villas took us to Nusa Dua, stopping on the way for us to eat at a great restaurant he knew about. He then took us to our next resort at Legian, passing Kuta beach on the way. We will be here for 4 nights.

Third Day Ubud, Bali

3rd day in paradise! White water rafting (bucket list -tick!), markets, traditional Balinese cooking class and then eating what we created! Lovely long massage before bed! Another amazing day!

Second Day in Ubud, Bali.

Today we crammed so much in...... coffee plantation and playing with pythons, rice fields, Elephant Cave Temple, pool and massage, sacred monkey forest, shopping in Ubud, art gallery and a very fancy dinner. I'm exhausted - but happy!
